Connecting the Body and Mind part 2
Table Psychology
This video focuses on table psychology and mostly applies to no limit holdem but can be used for similar games. It tackles how to be at a table and how to manipulate your opponents to doing what you want them to do or give you information.
Inside the Poker Mind (John Feeney Ph.D): Essays about psychology, play, players, how they think, and how you should think. This book goes well with Mike Caro's Book of Tells. Many good suggestions and guides to help you with the non-technical part of handling poker.
Elements of Poker (Tommy Angelo): This book tackles mental discipline and "right thinking" for playing poker and for life. I think it is a necessary ingredient to any poker player's arsenal of mental tools for the game. I highly recommend it.
The Psychology of Poker (David Sklansky): Good insight toward playing the player. Understand the player mind. Good ideas to gain information on your opponents to exploit them.
Ace on the River (Barry Greenstein): This book concentrates on state of being when playing poker with some analytical strategy. It places you within the poker world and all the things you can expect. If the Zen books did not help this one will. It approaches the same issues with a more practical guide. Barry is truely an example of what we all should aspire to be as a person and as a poker player.
