Recent Articles

I am in the process of updating this site. Removing/updating articles and my books section. The No Limit has advanced so much in the last few years that some material I have posted has become out dated. Currently my site mainly focues on No Limit cash, table psychology, and body language/tells.

I have a new poker coaching site Fuzzypup NL Holdem Training, if you are interested send me an email.
Connecting the Body and Mind Videos Part 1, 2, 3 by me in the Poker Video Section
I recommend Ed Miller's book below for NL Holdem. Very insightful.

Holdem Road to Success (no limit and limit): I created a new page for those interested in being successful at poker. What books to read, how to get rakeback, and where to get inexpensive training. Just click here to get started.

New Additional Book Reviews

Small Stakes No-Limit Holdem
Small Stakes No-Limit Hold'em (Ed Miller): Absolute must have book for beating NL Holdem cash games. Well written detailing different tactics to apply for playing NL cash. The writer is very good at explaining reasons for play in simple terms.

Elements of Poker
Elements of Poker (Tommy Angelo): This book tackles mental discipline and "right thinking" for playing poker and for life. I think it is a necessary ingredient to any poker player's arsenal of mental tools for the game. I highly recommend it.

Harrington on Cash Games
Volume. 1
Harrington on Cash Games (How to Win at No-Limit Hold'em Money Games) Vol. 1 (Dan Harrington): Dan outlines strategies and concepts to simplify NL cash game play. If you have been playing some NL cash this book is an excellect next step.

Harrington on Cash Games
Volume II
Harrington on Cash Games, Volume II: How to Play No-Limit Hold 'em Cash Games (Dan Harrington): Volume 2 covers more complex concepts while keeping the same simplistic approach to play. This book is for more advanced players but again, an excellent book.

Professional No-Limit
Hold 'em: Volume I
Professional No-Limit Hold 'em: Volume I (Matt Flynn, Sunny Mehta, Ed Miller): This book is quite advanced and harder to read than most poker books. But there are several concepts that apply to NL cash games that are important. I do feel the authors don't explain adequetely the proper use of the information and readers will require some deeper thinking to make correct use of it. Overall a good book to read.

Winning in
Tough Hold 'em Games

Winning in Tough Hold 'em Games: Short-Handed and High-Stakes Concepts and Theory for Limit Hold 'em (Nick Grudzien, Geoff Herzog): Advanced book for high stakes tough limit games. Excellent book from what I heard of others. I have only skimmed the book and there is a lot of good material.

The Mathematics of Poker
The Mathematics of Poker (Bill Chen): A very difficult read but has good information about how probability works within the game. It illustrates complex formulas and calculations explaining how hands and situations compare to each other.
